U21 side reach two finals and are top of the league...

Having beaten a resilient Handsworth U21s 3 – 1 in the semi final of the County Senior cup, dominating the majority of the game at Penistone Church ground last month they travelled to Wakefield and District side Ryhill Seniors on Saturday in their second semi final... SHCFA Junior cup.

Another promising display from the boys in a tough encounter coming away with a 2 – 0 victory over Ryhill Seniors. Man of the Match performance from Dan Broomhead gave the team the ideal platform from which to work from and two special goals from in form Joe Singleton sealed the passage to the final.

Manager Richard Holmshaw was delighted with the way the boys conducted themselves and said...”Credit to the lads, coming to a tough away ground like this and grinding out a positive result with such patience, purpose and professionalism. The real work starts now and how good would it be for the U21s in our first real season to win some silverware”

The two finals take place at Worksop Parramore Sandy lane next Thursday and AFC Emley in April.
