Steels rampant away at Stamford

Play-off chasing Stocksbridge Park Steels jumped i at this eco-stadium. Steels went into the break with a two-goal advantage after Richard Stirrup put Steels 1-0 up on 31 minutes his second goal after returning from a spell in Australia after a Brodie Litchfield pass gave him an easy tap in.

Ten minutes later Harrison Biggins increased the lead with a well taken penalty. But it wasn't until the 86th minute when the visitors showed their dominance Scott Ruthven scored from a tight angle, A few minutes later substitute Joe Lumsden back from injury set up Josh Hobson for his first goal for Stocksbridge.

Ruthven (pictured) then made it five with minutes to go.

Chris Hilton's team have put 9 passed Stamford this season, it's a pity we can't play them every week.

Steels now face Lincoln United on Tuesday 7.45pm.
