Ten man Steels lose to Corby

Steels lost out to Corby Town in a game which was important for both teams playoff hopes.

It didn't start well for Stocksbridge, on 20 minutes goalkeeper David Reay was sent off for kicking out at Phil Trainer.

Corby took the lead from the resulting, Matthew Gardner giving stand in keeper Liam McFadyen little chance to open the scoring.

Steels battled well until half time but on 61 minutes Dino Tusker doubledd the visitors lead deflecting in a cross past Mcfadyen.

Less than 10 minutes later Steels were back in the game after Scott Ruthven rifled in from close range.

But the mini come back didn't last long Phil Trainer who looked lively all afternoon scored on 83 minutes, initially miss kicking his shot but scored on the second attempt.

Richard Stirrup's header on 89 minutes give Stocksbridge some hope, Steels piled on the pressure for the remainder of the game but the visitors held out for a 4-3 win.
