This was a third versus fourth clash with both teams in good form ,the game started fairly evenly with both sides cancelling each other out.

Penistone took the lead from a corner when Steels switched off to the second ball into the box leaving Ross Leavesley free to head home .

Steels reacted well and kept taking the game to Penistone who were always a threat on the counter attack, in the thirty fifth minute the game changed for Steels Webster was receiving treatment off the field when Penistone broke clear and Bond handled the ball outside of his box and was dismissed .

Webster had to be replaced and Warren went into the goal Staniland came on at left back Steels battled well and kept the score one nil at half time .

Steels played really well in the second half and protected Warren in the goal with Penistone causing a threat from set pieces and balls into the box once more.After a good move down the left involving Staniland the ball finally arrived at Berresford who fired home a deserved equaliser, both sides had chances as the game went on but the Steels defended well all over the pitch and the game finished in a one all draw . The game was a good advert for the County Senior league with both teams playing the game in the correct spirit.

Steels reserves next game is against Steels development squad in the league cup Saturday 1st December 1-30 kick off on the training pitches.
