A lacklustre performance from the Steels saw them drop 2 places to seventh following a 3-1 home defeat to Spalding.
Steels went behind following a mix up in the defence and Brownhill stroked past Carney.
The Second half saw two penalties. Firstly Ludlam fouled Zeuerner in the area and Brownhill blasted the penalty straight down the middle.
Then Steels were awarded a penalty, Hugo unlucky with new rules as the ball came off his foot on to his arm. Mangham stepped and slotted the ball away for his eighth goal in five games.
Steels huffed and puffed but couldn’t find an equaliser. Duggan in the Spalding goal was superb and controlled the game from start to finish, slowing the tempo down whenever he could.
Steels finally went 3-1 down when Brownhill got his third of the game when he was left alone in the penalty box and he smashed the ball home.
