A disappointing performance from the boys last night resulting in a 4 - 2 loss to local rivals Sheffield Club and was a real learning curve for our boys.

Indecisive defending from set piece situations was the main difference between the teams during a relatively even contest first half, going in 2 - 0 down at half time. SPS rallied after the break and got back into the game after 58 minutes through a Jacob Gibbon penalty after Brandon Whitfield was pulled back unfairly in the box.

On 70 minutes Whitfield's bright play found Josh Shaw in the box with a quick free kick, Shaw calmly rounded the goalkeeper and slotted the ball home to make it 2 - 2.

SPS continued to give it a go but overall lacked team cohesion, confidence and know how and couldn't capitalise on the promising first 20 minute showing of the second half.
