Steels reserves followed up their midweek win over Utd Worksop in the Brian Bradley cup with a fine performance to soundly beat bottom of the table Frecheville FC 6-0 on Saturday.
Billy Hilbert was the hat trick hero, with further goals from Dan Broomhead, Zak Walker, and Brandon Whitfield.
That's eleven goals in two games for the reserves who move up to fifth in the table two points off second placed Penistone with a game in hand, they are also through to the semi final of the County FA Association cup and the quarter finals of the Brian Bradley cup.
The under 18 sides also both won away on Sunday, with the Yellow squad maintaining top spot with a 3-1 win over Shaw Lane Aquaforce, goals from Harry Shouler, Brandon Whitfield and Luca Defalco.
The Blue squad are hot on their heels in third with two games in hand and 3 points behind. They won 2-0 at Hallam Wisewod and their goals came from Joseph Stour and Dillon Gregory. Players from both squads are getting game time with the reserves and hopefully some will replicate Lewis Whitham and become regulars in the first team.
Well done to all players and managers for the good form so far this season.
