Steels made the short trip across the Woodhead to Glossop, with a side full of changes from Saturday, due to injuries and availability.

But you would not have guessed so after we made such a bright start, Steels pressed forward and controlled the early game, and on six minutes Reece Fielding powered a header past the home keeper Latham for the opening goal.

With Michael Trench making his debut at Left back, and a new look midfield of Josh Wain, Ross Goodwin and Scott Ruthven taking control of the game , we went in at half time one up.

HT 0 - 1

The second half started with Clarke Greaves replacing young Brandon Whitfield, who had started his first senior game, sadly picking up a knee injury, the game continued to flow and was a good entertaining match to watch, both sides now pushing forward, and Steels created a couple of real good chances, before Glossop were awarded a dubious penalty after Mills stumbled in the box, this was not to be the end after a great tackle by Fielding was again judged to be a foul by the referee and again converted, 2-1 to Glossop.

However the true spirit of our side proved invaluable as we went in search of a goal, and we were rewarded when the home keeper, bought down Manghan giving us a penalty, dispatched in style by Mangham.

FT 2 - 2
